Brandon Iwamoto is a Denver, Colorado, USA based photographer and writer. 
Brandon attended Colorado State University and obtained a bachelor's degree in Technical Journalism with a Computer Mediated Communication concentration. He spent three years as the Chief Photographer and Visual Editor of the Rocky Mountain Collegian newspaper.
Brandon interned with the Loveland Reporter Herald and Colorado Springs Gazette, and worked as a full-time staff photojournalist at the Farmington Daily Times in Farmington, NM. His photography work has appeared in the Denver Post, Longmont Times Call, Greeley Tribune, Aurora Sentinel, Durango Herald, and Asian Avenue Magazine, among others. Additionally, he was a team photographer for the Colorado Eagles Pro Hockey Organization for 5 years, where his work appeared on billboards, calendars, trading cards, and other promotional material.
Brandon was a participant in the 2009 Eddie Adams Workshop XXII (Team Fuchsia), where he was awarded an assignment with The New York Times, and the 2008 Sports Shooter Academy V, where he was co-awarded the inaugural Jack Gruber Teamwork Award. His photography has won numerous awards, including multiple distinctions from the Columbia Scholastic Gold Circle Awards and SPJ Mark of Excellence Awards.
In addition to photography, Brandon's feature writing has also been recognized for its excellence. His articles have been published in the Rocky Mountain Collegian and Asian Avenue Magazine, winning awards with both publications, including from the Columbia Scholastic Gold Circle Awards, SPJ Mark of Excellence Awards, and the CSU Journalism Media Festival Cammy Award.​​​​​​​
